Created for the 200th anniversary of Camilo Castelo Branco

This mural is a contemporary interpretation of the 1864 work “Vinte Horas de Liteira.” Two horses pull a transformed litter- shaped as a dodecahedron – where Camilo Castelo Branco peers through a small opening. Some of its visible faces reveal his multiple literary selves: the romantic, the ironic, the confessor, the critic.

The geometric form represents the imaginative space where the author retreats from reality, transforming the world into words. The litter is not just a means of transport, it becomes a stage, an exile, a mirror.
