The small village in the Extremadura region, provincia de Cáceres, offered one of the most beautiful and welcoming settings we’ve ever painted mural in.

The mural draws inspiration from the natural surroundings: the canchos (local rock formations), the rolling landscapes, and the cherry orchards that mark this part of Spain. These elements found their way into the composition, but what we’ve loved most is hearing the community’s own interpretations. Everyone sees something different, and that’s the best part. The piece has already started to take on a life of its own.

We’re grateful to be part of this edition of the festival, and to have contributed a small visual layer to the identity of the village. Huge thanks to Sojo, incredible Muro Crítico Team and to the Rebollar community for their warmth and opportunity to be part of this beautiful project. And muchas gracias to Jara, for an amazing drawing of us painting the mural!
